WHY SHOULD YOU CHOOSE AN ATC CNC ROUTER?
Sometimes when using a CNC router to make cuts it is necessary to change out tooling. With a single tool spindle this operation can take valuable production time and introduces another point in the production process for human error to be introduced.
The PHANTOM CNC SYSTEM-ATC CNC machine reduces production time by automatically changing cutters between tool paths, thus eliminating the need for the CNC operator to change and zero tools individually. The ATC feature allows our router to do the full job, even when different tooling is required to make different types of cuts. Signs and complex 3D carvings are a good example of this. A machine equipped with an ATC can perform operations normally done on other pieces of equipment, eliminating the need for additional machines in the shop.
The ATC router includes an automatic tool height system. This unique system can not only change the tools but uses a sensor to compensate for the tool length. With 8 or 10 tools in a linear rack and a change over time that only takes about 8 seconds this is a very productive machine. With cutting speed of up 500 inches ipm and free speed of 1000 ipm it is ideally suitable for processing of cabinets, wooden doors, solid wood furniture in a high speed shop.
The PHANTOM CNC SYSTEM T Series CNC uses .180 inch wall steel square tube welded in cnc cut jigs. Industrial quality linear bearings with high precision. 25 PMI rails and 25 Flange sliders are used on every axis. This gives less rolling moment resistance which translates to more torque from the motors. T ATC CNC Series comes equipped with a 16.1HP VFD driven Automatic Tool Change Air cooled spindle. The spindle uses ISO 130 tool holders. A pneumatic dust collection hood that concentrates airflow at the cutter and provides optimal dust collection performance. The multi-zone vacuum with t-slot table is constructed from a sheet of Bakelite. This ensures the table keeps strong suction and tight tolerances for your precision cutting. The T Series uses 6 air cylinders placed around the table to allow for exact registration of sheet goods. The T series is powered by Delta 750 watt Servo motors and drives. Gear reduction is handled by a 10 to 1 Japanese made reduction box. A stand alone 280B control system handles the motion and user interface. EVERY machine sold by us is fully tested at our facility in North Carolina and quality checked.

Vacuum Table With T-Slots
Vacuum tables are common in cnc routers. Besides its firm holding, a vacuum table can also flatten boards and make closed shaped cut-outs more easily without obstructions like clamps in the way of the toolpath.
The vacuum table surface is made from Phenol Resin Panels ( Bakelite ) instead of Hard PVC Boards for better strength and wear resistance. This will provide a longer lifespan in a tough shop environment. The vacuum table can be control with 4 independent gate valves.
Rotary vane vacuum pumps and the piping are available for your table.
RETRACTABLE ALIGNMENT PINS
For easy sheet alignment, retractable alignment pins are used to precisely place and align various size materials.
MACHINE RACK AND PINION
PHANTOM CNC SYSTEMS T ATC CNC uses a 1.5M helical tooth rack and pinion system. This allows for smooth high speed, high precision and low noise operation. We use PMI 25 Linear guides with flange sliders on all axis.
The machine is designed with the dust covers on the guide rails and the helical rack and pinions.
The Y-axis has double-layer sheet metal design for debris-proof operation. This extends the life of the drive system.
OMRON LIMIT SWITCHES
The limit switches are activated by proximity to steel items and can be tested by placing a screwdriver or something similar on the activation face (top). When activated, a LED should light. If the LED does not come on, the switch or wiring is faulty.
Z AXIS STRUCTURE
The Spindle alone is 22 lbs. After it has been assembled the Z Axis section weighs more than 200 lbs. We use a high precision and high speed ball screw system with a Delta 750 watt drive and brake motor to move the Z axis.
Z AXIS PLATE
The Z Axis mounting plate is made anodized aviation aluminum. The spindle is fixed on the high-quality aviation aluminum T6061/6063 plate. The Z-axis uses a TBI High-Precision Ball-screw. The ball screw connects to the Nema 34 motor with a disc coupler that protects the ball screw in case of crashes.
16.1HP ATC AIR COOLING SPINDLE
We utilize a 16.1HP auto tool change spindle. We use 18000 rpm or 24000 rpm for most applications.
CNC TOOL CALIBRATION
High precision auto tool calibrator. This makes calibrating tool lengths easy and quick. This offset will automatically apply to your chosen tool.
WATER-OIL MIST COOLING SYSTEM
Cooling, lubricating, and cleaning the tooling can be completed at one time during processing.
It can increase processing speed, save processing time, cost and reduce tool wear.
It is helpful to ensure the processing-quality and the best use of cutting tools.
Processing alloys or super-hard materials need this system.
INDEPENDENT CONTROL CABINET
We use a stand alone control system that is completely separate of a PC controller. This allows full control of the CNC without worry of Windows updates or controller software updates that could slow down your business.
PROFESSIONAL INDUSTRIAL GRADE CONTROL SYSTEM
CNC Routers adopt advanced open-architecture CNC controllers, with built-in high-performance industry computers, LCD screens, and combining with servo axis, spindle, and MPG axis, built-in PLC ( Programmable Logic Controller ) and USB interface, Compact Flash Card reading device.
Resistance to vibration conforms to the GB/T 2423.10-2008 Standards.
The product stands rigid temperature tests and conforms to the industrial standards of GB/T 2423.102-2008.
The roller pressure is distributed on both sides of the spindle, which can effectively prevent the material from moving on the table when processing small materials or materials that are not easily suctioned or clamped. Rollers provide 600lbs of downward pressure.
